The Soul Slings Travelling carrier has been sent travelling by the lovely Carrisa at Koala Slings. I have had the carrier for a few weeks and i have to say i really love it. Wrap conversion carriers can be expensive in comparison to normal off the peg carriers. Retailing at £89 the Soul Carrier very reasonably priced.
What i thought
The first thing that struck me was how pretty it was, i love the whole carrier was wrap fabric ( except of course the webbing). Which to me is aesthetically pleasing. I loved the seat darts as they made for a nice deep seat, i love the hood had 2 cords rather than the one in most carriers. I loved the perfect fit adjusters and the way it was dual tightening. I loved the large buckles which made it easy to do up and undo. And i loved that the legs out padding which comes as standard. Stitching was perhaps the best i have seem in carriers and the straps where just wide enough to be really comfortable.
What i didn’t like.
The one thing that stopped it being perfect was it didn’t have cross-able straps…that’s it. Its worth noting that for me this is my preference, i don’t like ruck style on my front as my shoulders slope and i struggle to do up the safety strap. On my back however, it was great, easy to tighten and very comfortable. So whilst i don’t like it for front carries, for me it worked well on my back and if i needed to do a front carry i could, i just didn’t find it as comfortable.
Would i recommend it?
Yes, without a doubt. Everyone who saw it asked me about it and loved it and all agreed the price was amazing for a conversation. I will be buying one for sure, although i am going to struggle which fabric to choose.
In part 2 i will be looking at the Soul Tie.
